My first attempt at a gradient!
Hi all! Just wanted to post this quick photo of my first attempt at a gradient mani...not too bad if I say so myself. Haha. I created this using two holos from Liquid Lacquer (Peter Bunny's Cottontail and a custom purple).

Liquid Lacquer's Hazy Summer Nights
Hi all!
Today I'd like to showcase a newly acquired beauty from none other than Liquid Lacquer.
Today I'd like to showcase a newly acquired beauty from none other than Liquid Lacquer.
Hazy Summer Nights is a GORGEOUS greige jelly with a really pretty mix of small and medium iridescent glitters. Application was smooth and dries quickly. The mani shown here was three coats. I can't wait to try it again with some different colored undies to see what kind of combinations I can create.
As always, Liquid Lacquer's glitters are ridiculously easy to remove...no foil method needed here ladies!
LL has a restock this weekend so be sure to check her shop out at liquidlacquer.bigcartel.com

Chanel Taboo
Today I am VERY excited to show you my latest addition to the collection - Chanel Taboo. I had a biopsy today and decided I needed a pick-me-up and boy am I glad I made that decision!
As a comparison, Taboo is along the lines of OPI's Every Month is Oktoberfest. the first coat has a similar dark blue hue. Taboo turns out to be a more saturated purple though.
It also has a faint magenta and blue fleck to it which is really pretty. The fleck isn't apparent unless you catch it in the right light. If you look at the edge of the bottle and my index finger you can see what I mean.
As usual, the formula is great. This could actually be a one coater if you wanted but I always prefer two.
What do you think? Will you be investing in Taboo?

Lovely Liquid Lacquer! (Hello Aliteration)
Happy friday sunday friends! I started writing this a month ago on a friday and had trouble getting my pictures to upload and then totally got sidetracked.
Today I'm going to do a quick post about my fav indie brand, Liquid Lacquer. Keep up-to-date with the brand and upcoming sales on LL's Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/liquidlacquer
Aaaannd without further delay, the polish!
Sound of My Heart - a super pretty glitter polish with a shimmery pinkish purple base. The glitter has hearts in it too! This is two coats of Sound of My Heart over OPI Done Out In Deco.
Sexy Secretary - a gorgeous taupe/grey creme with a bronzed orange glitter. I LOVE this polish. This is two coats.
Lounging Lily - a calm waters turquoise color with an unbelievable pink shimmer. This is two coats and a MUST HAVE. One picture without flash and one with to try and capture the shimmer.
Cherries In The Snow - a white creme base with pretty, magenta glitter...and circle glitter at that! This is two coats.
And last but not least (for this post), Cranberry Fields Forever - this is an OOAK polish with a dusty, chocolate brown, creme base and more of the super pretty magenta circle glitter! I love this polish and I love me a good Beatles reference.
I have a bunch more LL polishes that I'll save for another day but this is a brand you need to check out for sure!

Chanel Spring 2013
Hello again! Sorry it took so long. I've been trying to test out this camera I have and it really wasn't cutting it. Then I got the flu and when I recovered from the flu I got a cold. Yay me.
Done with the excuses! Now on to the pretties...
First in the Chanel Spring 2013 lineup is Emprise.
Emprise is described as a natural rosy beige. I guess I would agree with that. Maybe a natural peachy beige would be more appropriate. Either way, I really like this color. It's a great palette cleanser.
As far as coverage goes, you'll probably need three coats to get the true opaque look as the formula is a little thinner.
Next up is Fracas.
Fracas is described as a vibrant pink....and BOY IS IT EVER! I adore this color. It's such a great pick-me-up color to save you from the winter blues and will be awesome in the summer.
The formula was great. It only took two coats to achieve opacity. This is definitely my fav color of the group.
Last but not least is Accessoire.
Accessoire is described as a deep red brown. I would say that's pretty spot on.
Chanel has quite a few colors in this vampy range i.e. Rouge Noir, Vamp, Malice but this one seems to be a great balance. It's dark enough to be vampy but not so dark that you can't tell it's not black. It's a great color and very classic.
Again the formula was great and I only needed two coats to reach opacity.
All in all I love this collection. It's very rare that I feel the need to buy an entire collection. I had originally just meant to get Fracas since I love bold pinks but when I saw the other two in person I knew I had to get all three. I do love me some Chanel.

Welcome to My Rabbit Hole
Hello polish lovers! I know this is just one of the thousands of nail polish related blogs out there but thanks for stopping by! Perhaps you'll stay and we'll be polish buddies.
For my first post, I figured "go big or go home." So, I'll be introducing a trio of new shades from the Chanel spring 2013 line with individual polish reviews to follow.
The line is named Printemps Precieux de Chanel. Now, I did take 5 years of French but little good that did me in the real world...until today! Loosely translated the line is called Precious Springtime of Chanel. Original right?
Regardless of Chanel's lack of creative naming skills, they still did a great job with the spring lineup of polishes.
We have:
Emprise - a natural rosy beige
Fracas - a vibrant pink
Accessoire - a deep red brown
It's a rare point when I go to the Chanel counter and walk away with an entire collection...this was one of those points.
Here's a pic of the lineup as a whole. Individual posts and photos to follow! Enjoy!
